Week 7 - Blisters and Baptisms

hellooooo everyone!!
the field is freaking awesome.  its super hard, but super rewarding.  i first want to talk about my last week in the ccm -
a missionary in my room had a birthday, so we all secretely bought balloons and crazy lights and got freaking lit.  the next day, there was a new rule made by the president... no parties in the ccm.  hahaa it was hilarious.  we also had a whole presentation about what to do if we are kidnapped.  that made me super excited to get into the field haha.
my first area is called estanzuela, just outside of zacapa.  it is about 5 hours away from the capital and it is really poor here.  a lot of dirt floors and stuff like that.  there are also chickens, dogs, lizards, frogs, cows, and much more contantly running around the street haha. its awesome.
we have a couple of baptisms coming up on saturday, which is AWESOME. the first people are victor y flor.. they are a couple with a little 3 year old dude and they are getting baptized on saturday! im pumped.  they had some doubts about the whole thing, but they are good now.
next is this stud named mario, he is 11 years old and his mom is less active, and he wants to be baptized so im super pumped for that!! i love the gospel.
Spanish is the mtc is a lot different than the spanish here haha.  people talk soooo fast and they slur their words so it is tough to understand, but it is slowly coming along.
since we dont have bikes or anything, we walk EVERYWHERE.  because of this, i have some gnarly blisters on my feet haha.  gotta love it!! everytime i tell my companion about these little struggles he just laughs because he knows exactly how i feel.. or he laughs because he cant understand my awful spanish haha.
other than that, i dont have much else to say!! missionary work is awesome. i love you all!!
