Week 37 - this week was a wild one

hellllooo family and friends!!

this week was quite an interesting one.  it started out normal, and we were doing totally fine.  im gonna talk about investigators first, then my drastic decline in health after.
so my entire time here in san luis we have been working with the Najera family!! they are super awesome, and some of the nicest people i have met here in the mish.  the whole time i have been here they have had baptismal dates, but just werent recieving answers to their prayers! UNTIL THIS WEEK BABY.
we just showed up to the house, and the mom told us she had a surprise! so i was expecting it was gonna be some food or something, until she told us she got an answer!! i was sooooo pumped, like i dont think i have been that happy/excited my whole mission!!!  she got her answer in a dream, and she said in her dream me and my companion were all dressed up in white, and we visited their fam and then baptized em after!!  it was superrrr cool. she also told us that she feels like God really did send me and my companion to her family... it was so cool!!!  so if they go to church, theyre gonna be baptized on june 2nd!

ok thats the progress that the investigators had this week.. now on to my declining health...
so on friday i woke up and my skin was all sorts of weird.. like i had some weird splotchy stuff on my face and neck. my companion told me i was turning into spider man... so i was totally stoked for a minute until i realized that wasnt what was happening.  we waited until the next day, and i woke up and it looked like something had just destroyed my face.. like little cuts on my face and neck and it hurttt like nutzo so we went to the pharmacy and they saw some gnarly stuff comin out of my ear.  turns out i just have a super gnarly ear infection, so im taking pills and stuff now but my face and neck still look awful hahaha.

that was just part one.  the next day we visited a little aldea, like a village thing, called songotongo. we taught a family there, and started our lonnggg trek back to san luis when my tummy started rumbling.  like a LOT.  I needed a bathroom, and i needed one in that moment but there wasnt a house or a bathroom in sight.  so i had to run, yep that's right, straight for the bushes... and the worst part is it happened twice!!  i was dyinnnnnn.  It was a rough experience, but you better believe we worked the rest of the night, thanks to a lot of pepto bismal.

thats about all i got this week!! even tho i had to use nature as a bathroom, and my face looks like i got attacked by a cat, i couldnt be happier to be a missonary here in Guatemala.
