Week 39 - yo yo yo

hey fam and friends!!
this was a solid week here in san luis.  we were super busy and traveling a lot, but we got a lot done so thats super good!!

so the people and almost all the members here are super poor, and we have had some awesome opportunities to help them out this week!! there have been 2 birthdays in the group, and me and my comp bought cakes to celebrate the 2 birthdays! the first one was Trinidad, and the second was hermano bartolo vasquez.  they are both super awesome, and there is nothing better than seeing how happy it made them, and their kids when we brought the cake to their house!! i love these people for reals they are so awesome.

 

also, this morning we got a call from the assistants, telling us that they are going to put sisters here in san luis! that will be really nice, because our area is really big and they will be able to help us out a lot!!

 

i hope you are still reading, because now im gonna tell a wilddd story.  so on wednesday we had divisions with the zone leaders in chiquimula, and i was with my trainer Elder mora! all of our appts fell through, so we just decided to contact.  we knocked a door, and they were like "who is it?" like 5 times and we were like "the missionaries!" like 5 times haha.  after the 5th time, a dude opened the door with a freaking gun pointed right at us!! me and my comp basically crapped our pants right there. he was like "why are you knocking my door at this hour" and we were like "fetch we dont know we are just trying to save your soul man." so that was freaking scary.. we walked very slowly with our hands up in the air and he like followed us out until he couldnt see us anymore! it was a little spooky, but the Lord was definietly protecting us!

 

and this week, we put into effect playing basketball to contact once again, but these dudes actually knew how to play ball!! it was a little bit more of a challenge, but im proud to say that me and my comp are still undefeated, and we were able to share a little message with like 4 dudes cuz we won! playing basketball to baptize... there aint nothing like it.

 

Thats about all i got this week, it was a crazy week but a good one!
