this week is the week of changes!! and im saying goodbye to elder patiño and good ole minerva... it feels like my time here was superrr short because in the other 2 areas that i have had i was in each of em for 6 months!! but this time i was only here for 3!! but its ok i feel ready for another adventure haha.
im going to Guastatoya.. its an area outside of the capital!! i kinda wanted to stay inside of the Capital for Christmas because its a little bit chillier here and there is more Christmasy stuff here inside of the capital.. but its ok!!
its always super sad to say bye to the people here tho!! its amazing how close you can get to people in just a couple of months.. i really just love all the people of Guatemala!!
this week was super good for us tho!! the investigators we have are still being very slow to progress.. they just dont seem to want to come to church. its the worst.
we were able to serve a little bit more this week tho!! we helped out Victor Montenegro a little bit more this week!! i gave him my mosquito net a couple week ago, and this week he had some more chores ready for us haha!!
first we helped him put some christmas lights on one of his shrubs outside of his house. his tree is now super lit up and looks AWESOMEEE. he was super stoked!!
then the next day we went back and helped him take out all of his corn from his garden!! it died a long while back, so we went and helped him chop it down!! we burnt it afterwards.. it was a super awesome bonfire hahah. we just were missin the hot dogs and marshmallows hahaha!!
last night we also had a super awesome activity with the primary kids here!! the president of the primary organized a little group of kids and found a tiny little bus, then we went Christmas caroling to our investigators and also some less active members!! it was so awesome to see the faces of the people here light up!! there was also a funny part when we were going up a hill.. and the poor little bus couldnt make it up the hill! so me and elder patiño got out and gave the bus a little boost! it was able to make it up the hill.. with the help of our weight getting out of the bus and pushing haha. all the the primary kids thought it was just the coolest thing ever haha!!
not much else to say!! hope you all have a good week and can keep finding ways para iluminar el mundo!!
