all is well here is estanzuela. my new comp came in on tuesday, his name is elder rodriguez and he is from chile!!! he has 21 months in the mission, so i will probably send him off so that's nuts!! this week i've kind of been the boss of estanzuela because he knows nothing about the people here haha so thats been pretty cool.
during the changes i stayed the night in zacapa with the zone leaders!! zacapa is the main city in this area. they have these crazy huge market things and as i was walking through there was this dude carrying like 100 baby chicks, everyone of them different colors. it was some wild stuff. thats just one example of the wild stuff i saw in that market haha!
so right now we have three investigators with a baptismal date. the first one is juan, he is super crazy and he likes to drink, but he told us he hasn't drank for 25 days or so so we were pumped!! but then we had a member tell us they saw him drinking like 3 days ago, so i dont know what to say. the next one is kayleen... she is awesome but on saturday we found out her husband is a drunk.. so we have some work there. Butttt fernando is doing super awesome!!! he is fulfilling all of his commitments and doing all the right things so i think hes gonna be able to for sure be baptized so i am pumped for that!!
this week we had to travel to the capital to finish up some immigration stuff. its like 4 hours away from our area, so we had to stay the night with the office elders there. there house is SOOO NICE. its basically just a big hotel room so i was very jealous of that!! that night we had pizza, which was probably the most tender mercy every, and they have HOT WATER. that was definitley the best shower of the mission.
yesterday while we were eating lunch, Spider Man 2 was on the tv. as soon as i heard that epic music i knew what it was. it was definitely a test of my obedience to not watch the greatest super hero to ever live ;)
Spanish is actually coming along alright!! i am able to understand almost everything and i can speak alright. a lot of the members are telling me how much better my Spanish is, so that makes me feel good haha!!
the christmas devotional last night was superrrrr awesome. that definitely helped me feel the christmas spirit out here in the 90 degree weather!!! it is always awesome to hear from the first presidency!!
i love all of you!! thanks for all the support!!
