we have changes this week and my companion is outta here!! ill get my new comp tomorrow, but for now im just hanging out with the Zone Leaders haha. this week was super awesome!!! our zone had the chance to do a lot of service, which was pretty new!! on thursday we went to this city called Guastatoya and painted a school like all day!!! it was super awesome. everyone had paint everywhere and at the end the school looked wayyy better. we also helped a member move out of her house to a different part of estanzuela, and it was awesome to help her too!! service is just the best.
this week we found an awesomeeeeee investigator. her name is kayleen.. we have always stopped and said hi but this time we decided to teach her the first lesson and she was super receptive!! she committed to be baptized on the 6th of january, and we have another lesson with her to tomorrow so im stoked for that!!!
we had another lesson with juan later that day (juan is super awesome, he just likes to drink so as soon as he can stop that we will have him in the baptismal font!!). we have a baptismal date for the 20th with him, so hopefully he can stay away from the alcohol. but during the lesson, there was a mini earthquake!!! it was only a couple seconds but it was pretty spooky.
everyone here wants to learn english for some reason, so every saturday i am going to start teaching english classes!! im super pumped for that! its cool because its a unique way to serve these people.
so they are having a big ole fair right now in estanzuela, and this week they added these roller coaster type things. these roller coasters make the utah state fair look like disneyland, no joke. the scariest part about it is i saw 12 year old kids building the rollercoasters!!!! i was spooked. no way i would ever in my life step foot on one of those roller coasters.
now that thanksgiving is over, its pretty much CHIRSTMAS!!! and with christmas comes an amazing opprotunity to do missionary work. if you havent watched the new christmas video made by the church, i would totally encourage you to watch it! we share it all the time, and i feel the spirit every single time i watch it.
