hello everyone!!!
this week was good!! we walked and we taught a lot! we have an awesome investigator named miguel. im not totally sure how old he us but he looks like he's about as old as i am haha. he is super receptive to the gospel and he committed to baptism on the 16th of december!! so if we can get him baptized that would be a merry christmas haha. we also have another investigator named brandon.. he is super big and also super awesome. he loves to have lessons and participates so much!! he has committed to be baptized on the same date so hopefully they both pull through!!
there is also another investigator we teach named julio. he is super awesome!! he is super spiritual and lovesssss the bible, but we are praying that he will read the book of mormon and feel the spirit while he does!!! hes not super fond of having another book like the bible, but i know that he can feel the spirit of it!!
there are alot of people down here that dont know how to read because they had to stop going to school for work!! i thought that was nuts. made me super grateful for the education that i have!! its a little tough with investigators like that because they cant read the book of mormon, but there are always ways to help everyone!!
one night this week we were walking in a field and all of the sudden there were fireflies EVERYWHERE. it was super cool!! we were teaching this awesome dude named lucas in the middle of a firefly party i was loving it.
on saturday we had a big conference in a city called guastatoya! it is like 2 hours away from here and we got to listen to m. russell ballard talk directly to the members down here in guatemala. it was super cool to listen to the words of an apostle in spanish, and actually understand him!
to end the week with a bang, i got the chance to play some basketball this morning. latinos arent the greatest basketball players in the world hahah its funny to watch them play!! they all just say soccer is better haha.
other than that i dont have much else to say!! love all you guys!!! the church is TRUE
