helllllooooo familia and friends!!!
this week was a pretty good week. the work is a tad bit slow here in estanzuela, pero hay vamos haha.
to start it off, last week after we emailed we went fishing, and we redeemed ourselves!!!!! i got a massive fish, just check the pic that i send to see how big that lunker really was haha.
this week was pretty good! we are kind of having trouble with finding more people to teach here, but we are working super hard with less active people and its working finally!! a ton are coming back to church, and it just makes me so dang happy.
we did have another chance to serve the people here this week though!! this cute little old lady in our branch needed her house painted, and she trusted us to do it!!! thanks to my years of watching my mom paint my house, i knew what the heck i was doing haha. we painted it and it looked super good i was so proud haha!
we did have some bad luck with our one baptismal date, though. her mom doesnt want her to be baptized, so we arent allowed to baptize her! it sucks, because she goes to church every week and always wants to listen to us, but her mom wants her to be married in a different place. so we are still working with her, but it kinda sucks.
we did have a cool experience last night tho! we were visiting this super awesome family who is totally active, but they have a less active son who is like 25 years old. we started the lesson, and he was kinda chillin in another part of their yard. i just decided to wave him over, and he came over and watched a super awesome video we had!! we showed the video of Pres. Monson, when he tells the story of when he was in the army with the "Dare to be a Mormon" quote. i loveee that quote and that mormon message!! well after the lesson, he was like, "i dont know if you guys know, but im a mormon too, and im proud of it.." then he went on to bear a powerful testimony!! he invited us over to his house this week and we got his phone number.. i was super excited!! so hopefully we can help him find his way back to this AWESOME Gospel of Jesus Christ.
