Week 27 - Apostles and HEAT

This week was AWESOMEEEEE.  well any week that you can shake an apostles hand has to be awesome, right?? we had the awesome chance to listen to Elder Quentin L. Cook on wednesday, and it was superrrrr awesome!
we woke up at 3am on tuesday to go to the capital for some meetings early in the morning, and after we had the awesome chance to work in the capital for a little while which was superrrr cool!! its crazy how different the mission is inside the capital!! there are a lot more people there, and they are way more educated so thats nice, but i think i like outside the cap more. the life is a lot more tranquilo, and the people are way more humble!! but im sure ill have my turn to serve there too!

wednesday was the conference with elder cook!!! we got to hear from elder ochoa and elder gong too, and all of their wives!! every talk was super good, but the talk from Elder Cook was unreal! he talked about how the poeple here are super ready to hear the gospel, and we have the priviledge of bringing this message to them! it made me want to baptize the entire country haha.
after that, he bore one of the most powerful testimonies i have ever heard!!!! he said he wasnt gonna tell us about the super sacred experiences that he had had, but that he has "heard the Saviors voice, and he has seen the Saviors face." i have never felt the spirit more than in that moment!!! he said they usually receive inspiration through the holy ghost, but with special things like missionary work and temples, they sometimes get special help from the Lord.  i thought that was the coolest thing ever!!!

after the conference, we went back to estanzuela and worked harder than ever!! we are working hard with less actives, and we saw some of the fruits of our work this week!! a ton of less active people came to church, along with investigators.  we were PUMPED.
we always look for ways to serve people, and this week i had 2 really cool opportunities to help people!! the first one was when i was in the capital.. we visited a family and one of the little girls was having a hardddd time with her English homework!!! so i helped her by translating her little story she had in english, and some other things too. it was super awesome! and the other thing that we did to serve was chop some firewood for Lucas Mateo!!! i dug a hole for him a couple weeks ago haha.  but the people here just cook by fire, so they always need firewood!! i told him i could chop a little for him, and he had his doubts because im a gringo and he thought i had never seen an axe in my life. little does he know, ive chopped many logs of firewood thanks to the camping ive done!! he was very surprised with my abilitlies to chop wood haha.

i know that this church is true, and that it is led by a prophet and apostles!! i know christ lives, and he loves each and every one of us.  when we let him into our lives, we are soooo blessed!! thanks for all your love and support!!!
