Week 30 - Changes, Easter and Conference!

Helloo everyone!!
in this email i am bringing good tidings of great joy... AKA changes!!! i am officially out of Estanzuela, and going to a new area called San Luis! its still outside of the capital in a zone called Chiquimula.  it will definitely be a new challenge! it is just a little group, not even a branch.  so i will have to help out a lot with the "group" but im super excited! my companion is from Ecuador, and hes got like 4 months in the mission! i still dont know him or his name yet, that will happen tomorrow haha.

this week was pretty solid tho!! we were able to work pretty hard, but turns out my companion has a parasite, so that limited how much we were able to work! but we still did our best. he got a parasite because he decided to drink water out of a river... in Guatemala.  not the brighest thing he has ever done, but you live and you learn haha!

so this week was the "semana santa" which basically just means holy week. its basically just like the entire city of estanzuela shut down for a week and everyone went to the river to swim haha.  so the work was a little bit slow cuz it was a challenge to find people in their houses, but we did our best! they had some big crazy parades with really spooky statues of Jesus being crucified and stuff, but it was cool to experience that!

annnddddd to end the week, conference was AMAZING.  being a missionary is super awesome, because its basically like the super bowl, march madness, and the nba finals of the Gospel hahah.  but all of the talks, changes in the church, new temples, and everything are a sign that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are still reaching out to us, helping us!! i now that Pres. Nelson is a prophet of God, and all the apostles, including the new guys, are called of God.  When we had the conference with Elder Cook, we also had the chance to hear from Elder Gong! i had no clue he was gonna be one of the new apostles then, but i could feel the Spirit when he was talking to us. i know this church is true!!

in one of the Liahonas we have got, i saw a quote more or less like this "No matter how many times we forget to remember him, he will always remember us." That is so true!
Love you all, thanks for all your love and support always!
