hello everyone!!!
this week was a pretty crazy week!!
so last week was changes and stuff, so naturally my other companion had to leave. there was just one little problem.. for some reason the people of San Luis decided to have a protest and block off the roads!! so we had to walk for like 2 miles with allllllll of the suitcases of elder Fortis. i have never sweated more in my life.
but me and my companion are doing super good!! his name is elder interiano and hes from honduras!! he talks super weird, so that has taken some getting used to hahaha. but hes a super funny dude. hes pretty freaking weird not gonna lie, but i like him.
this week we worked super hard!! we have been looking for new people to teach, so we have been knocking a lot of doors. one time we were walking and we walked past a door.. and i felt like we should knock it. but we kept walking, and the feeling was stronger and stronger that we should knock the door! so we did. the people let us in, we shared a quick lesson, and at the end we asked them if they knew anyone we could visit! they said their neighbor has been waiting for us.. so naturally we hurried over there! we knocked on the door, and she really had been waiting for us!
she let us right in, we taught her a lesson too, invited her to be baptized, and she said yes!! and the best part is that she came to church yesterday!! her name is Rosalina.. and i think shes about to be baptized baby.
manuel is also doing really well!! he came to church again this week, and he is more and more excited about the church and being baptized. if all goes as planned, we are gonna baptize him on the 14th!!!
not much else happened!! have a solid 4th of July!! i love guatemala, but the good ole U. S. of A. is pretty awesome too.
