So last week I mentioned a fallen house on the side of a barranco... this week we were able to help them out some more!! On Sunday after church us and a bunch of other hermanos from the ward went down and helped them build up their house!! We were more part of the moving crew... we moved couches, pilas, beds, chairs, and a whole bunch of other stuff down this barranco! It was quite the adventure and i just love helpin out these people.
On Tuesday is when we started our viaje of the week... we went out to Puerto Barrios to do divisions with the elders out there!! It was an 8 hour bus ride to get out there.. it was quite the trip, but it was worth it! Puerto Barrios is super pretty and super humid cuz its right on the coast!! I got to work in an area called Entre Rios, which is just a little group, like San Luis! It was super nice to work outside of the capital again.. i miss those people a lot.
After Puerto Barrios we went out to Chiquimula! I had the chance to go out to a pueblo called Matasano.. its literally some little village in the mountains of Chiquimula. I hadnt ever seen people so humble and so willing to learn about the Gospel in my whole mission!! Since we were 2 gringos up there, people would just come up and ask us who we were cuz they had never seen white people, let alone missoinaries in their little village. It was a super cool experience to go up there!
After Matasano, we went to good ole San Luis to work with my boy Elder Slaugh! It was super cool to see some of the people i had taught when i was there like 9 months ago... like Trinidad, Jaime, La Familia Jordan, La Familia Martinez, and others!! I love that place with all my heart.
For about 4 hours we worked in our area, and we were able to teach Patricio! He is super excited for his baptism this upcoming Saturday, so we are praying all works out there!!
